Tripura West MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday participated in the study visit and meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change at the Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology (CMLRE) in Kochi.The committee reviewed ongoing research and discussed key issues related to climate change, environmental protection, and marine biodiversity conservation. Officials of CMLRE briefed the members on various scientific initiatives and research activities undertaken by the institute.The visit was part of the committee’s mandate to assess the implementation of national policies and recommend measures to strengthen India’s scientific and environmental frameworks.
