In celebration of National Science Day, Prakashparna Publications organized a vibrant commemorative event today at the Agartala Student Health Home. The initiative aimed to ignite a passion for science among the younger generation through creativity, literature, and intellectual challenges.
The event featured the official unveiling of a special Science Magazine and a series of competitive activities for children, drawing significant participation from local schools.
Launch of Science Magazine
To mark the occasion, Prakashparna Publications released their latest science-themed magazine. The publication is designed to simplify complex scientific concepts for children and showcase the latest advancements in technology and space exploration. The magazine launch was attended by educators and science enthusiasts who praised the initiative for promoting scientific literacy.
Art Competition: ‘Blessing or Curse?’
A large-scale drawing competition was held, divided into three distinct categories to encourage diverse artistic expressions. The themes for the competition were:
- Science: A Blessing (বিজ্ঞানের আশীর্বাদ): Children depicted the life-saving and constructive aspects of modern technology.
- Science: A Curse (বিজ্ঞানের অভিশাপ): Students explored the environmental impact and destructive potential of misused science.
- Creative Freedom (যেমন খুশি তেমন আঁকো): An open category allowing children to illustrate their own imaginative scientific worlds.
Engaging the Young Minds
Following the art competition, a Quiz Competition was organized, focusing on the history of Indian science, the life of Sir C.V. Raman, and general scientific facts. The hall echoed with excitement as students competed to showcase their knowledge.
