Operation Sindoor, launched by the Indian armed forces on May 7, saw strikes conducted across terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). This operation was in response to the devastating terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the loss of 26 lives.
In a high-level meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Home Minister Amit Shah will meet with Chief Ministers, Director Generals of Police (DGPs), and Chief Secretaries of border states to discuss the ongoing situation and further strategies to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
The Indian Army, in a post on social media platform X, stated, “Justice is served,” following the strikes. Furthermore, in an official statement, India emphasized that it had exercised restraint in the selection of targets and the method of execution during the operation.
A total of nine locations believed to be involved in orchestrating attacks against India were targeted in the strikes. The statement also clarified that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted, showcasing India’s measured and non-escalatory approach.
“This operation has been focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and the method of execution,” the official statement mentioned.
With tensions escalating in the region, the meeting with Amit Shah and the key stakeholders of the border states is crucial to discuss the next steps in maintaining peace and security in the area. The Indian armed forces continue to be vigilant and prepared to respond to any threats to the nation’s sovereignty.
