AGARTALA: In a vibrant lead-up to World Homeopathy Day (celebrated annually on April 10), the National AYUSH Mission (NAM), Tripura, organized a massive awareness walk and bicycle rally titled “Pedals and Paces” in the capital city today. The event aimed to highlight the benefits of homeopathic medicine and promote a holistic approach to health among the citizens of Tripura.
The rally was officially flagged off by Dr. Nupur Debbarma, State Mission Director of the National AYUSH Mission and Additional Mission Director of NHM Tripura, who inaugurated the proceedings by releasing colorful ceremonial balloons.
A Journey for Holistic Health
The “Pedals and Paces” rally saw enthusiastic participation from healthcare professionals, homeopathic practitioners, students, and local fitness enthusiasts. The event followed a strategic route through the heart of Agartala to maximize public engagement.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Nupur Debbarma emphasized the growing relevance of homeopathy in the modern healthcare system, particularly for chronic lifestyle disorders.
”Homeopathy is not just about medicine; it is a philosophy of healing naturally and holistically. Today’s rally is a prelude to the global celebration of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann’s birth anniversary on April 10. Through initiatives like ‘Pedals and Paces’, we want to encourage our citizens to integrate AYUSH systems into their daily lives for long-term well-being,” Dr. Debbarma stated.
