Romeo Hrangkhawl, a physically disabled student from Kamalachhara High School in Tripura, has become an inspiration to many after successfully clearing his Secondary Examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) this year. Despite facing immense challenges due to his disabilities, Romeo wrote his exams using his feet and emerged victorious.
Romeo, who cannot walk or use his hands and struggles with speech, appeared for his board exams with determination and perseverance. When the results were announced, the atmosphere at Kamalachhara High School was filled with joy and celebration as Romeo’s classmates, teachers, and community members gathered to congratulate him on his achievement.
Accompanied by his father, Hariram Hrangkhawl, Romeo visited the school to check his results. His face lit up with happiness upon hearing the news of his success. The support he received from his school, teachers, and peers throughout his journey was evident as everyone rejoiced in his triumph.
Anjana Chakma, the Headmistress of Kamalachhara High School, spoke highly of Romeo’s character and the support he received from the school community. She emphasized the importance of coming together to help students like Romeo achieve their goals and dreams.
Romeo’s story is one of resilience and determination. Despite his physical limitations, he attended school regularly and maintained good attendance. He wrote all his exams using his foot, showcasing his remarkable strength and determination.
Out of the 22 students enrolled from the school for this year’s board exam, 21 appeared, with Romeo among them. His success is not only a personal victory but also a testament to the unwavering support and encouragement he received from his school and community.
His father, Hariram Hrangkhawl, expressed his gratitude for the support his son received and emphasized the financial challenges their family faces. He hopes that the government can extend support for Romeo’s further studies, as he believes that Romeo has the potential to achieve even greater heights in the future.
