Agartala, Tripura: The formal inauguration of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 was held at the TMC Auditorium in Hapania, marking an important step towards strengthening skill development and employability in the healthcare sector.
The programme was organised with the support of Agartala Government Medical College and Tripura Medical College & IGM Hospital. Senior officials from the health and skill development sectors were present on the occasion.
Among those present were Medical Education Director Dr H P Sharma, who addressed the gathering, Health Department Director Dr Debashree Debbarma, and Skill Development Department Director Pradeep K, along with other officials.
The welcome address was delivered by Sutirtha Pal, Joint Director of the Skill Development Department. Speakers highlighted the objectives of PMKVY 4.0, which aims to equip youth with industry-relevant skills, particularly in the medical and healthcare sectors, thereby improving employment opportunities.
Officials emphasised that the collaboration between medical institutions and the Skill Development Department will play a crucial role in creating a skilled workforce aligned with national healthcare needs. The programme concluded with a call to maximise youth participation and effectively implement the scheme for long-term socio-economic benefits.
