Car catches fire at night! Police investigating the incident in Rahimpur area
A chaotic fire incident took place in the late night at the 6th ward of Rahimpur Purba Para. A Nexxus company’s S-Cross car caught fire and was completely burnt to ashes. The current owner of the car is Nazrul Islam, son of Kabir Hossain.
According to local sources, about a year ago, a young man named Rahul Hossain from Ashabadi bought the car from Vishalgarh Lalsimura area. Just two days ago, Nazrul Islam bought the car for five lakh taka in cash and the remaining two lakh taka through an instrument.
However, the newly purchased car caught fire and was completely burnt to ashes overnight. It is alleged that unidentified miscreants poured petrol and set the car on fire around 2 am on Sunday. The car burst into flames sputtering and burning.
Saiful Hossain, a local youth, was the first to witness the incident. He informed the car owner Nazrul Islam about it. Later, the police arrived at the scene and began investigating the incident.
The car owner Nazrul Islam stated that he has no suspicions towards anyone. However, the motive behind this incident and who is involved in it is still unknown.
The police have informed that an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident and CCTV footage from the surrounding area will be reviewed.
