Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has once again reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the welfare and future of the indigenous community over political considerations. In a scathing critique of the BJP-led Tripura government, he lambasted the delay in implementing the Tiprasa Accord and conducting long-overdue Village Committee (VC) elections.
Upon his arrival in Tripura, Pradyot highlighted that various indigenous communities such as the Nagas, Mizos, Arunachalis, Manipuris, and Dimasas have been voicing similar concerns individually but have not unified their voices in Delhi. He emphasized the need for unity among indigenous people in the North East region, asserting that their collective strength lies in solidarity.
Pradyot emphasized that his loyalty lies with the people, not with any political party. He stressed that the future of the Tiprasa people is paramount and should take precedence over party politics. He expressed disappointment in the lack of progress in conducting VC elections, citing the upcoming hearing in the matter and questioning the state government’s delay.
Regarding the Tiprasa Accord, Pradyot indicated that he will engage in discussions with the Chief Minister to address any issues and push for its implementation. He criticized the government for not taking decisive action despite the pressing need for progress on these crucial matters.
In conclusion, Pradyot reiterated his commitment to advocating for the indigenous community’s rights and welfare, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing their interests above all else. He called for unity and collective action among indigenous groups to ensure a better future for all in the region.
