Upon his arrival at Agartala MBB Airport, TIPRA Motha Chairman and prominent tribal leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarma engaged with journalists, expressing his views on current political developments in Tripura. Surrounded by media representatives and supporters, he shared his reflections on ongoing state affairs, tribal rights, and the importance of transparent governance.
Debbarma emphasized that any future political decisions will be guided by the interests of indigenous communities and the long-term welfare of Tripura. “We must focus on justice, dignity, and rights for our people. Our commitment remains towards protecting the identity and future of the indigenous population,” he said.
Responding to media questions, he reiterated that discussions with the central government will continue, but only on issues concerning constitutional solutions and long-term agreements, not temporary arrangements. He urged political leaders to prioritize people over power, and asked for patience as talks progress on sensitive matters related to land, language, and administrative reforms.
He concluded with a message of unity and responsibility, saying, “Tripura’s future must be shaped with sincerity, respect, and inclusiveness. We cannot move forward by ignoring our roots.”
His remarks sparked political discussion across the state, drawing attention from all major parties.
