Rahul Gandhi’s advisors have done an admirable job in controlling him during this recent conflict with Pakistan, unlike during the Balakot incident. It seems that Pappu, as he is often called, is no longer able to go unchecked.
Initially, Rahul Gandhi began his usual theatrics, hinting at initiating protests against the ceasefire. It appeared that they were prepared for a long and drawn-out conflict, and were not pleased when it ended abruptly.
Just three days prior, they were advocating for de-escalation and peace, similar to Dr. Manmohan Singh’s approach, but suddenly they seemed to be pushing for war, reminiscent of Indira Gandhi.
There are even rumors circulating that Rahul Gandhi may have met with General Asim Munir at a woman’s house in Kent, UK in 2019. Now, let’s shift the focus to the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
When it comes to Indira Gandhi, a few things come to mind:
– When Indira was in power, it was essential to have someone like Sham Manekshaw by her side.
– Upon becoming Prime Minister, Indira had to wait 9 months before going to war.
– Indira had to declare an emergency for her political gain.
– After Indira’s leadership, around 930,000 Pakistani prisoners of war were released without any conditions, handing over PoK to Bhutto.
– Indira had to bypass the Parliament to introduce the terms “secular” and “socialist” into the constitution.
– Indira had to relinquish her independent foreign policy to become a puppet in the hands of KGB.
– Indira had to support figures like Bhindranwale, who later became a liability.
Ultimately, Indira Gandhi had to come to terms with the fact that even her own son’s life was sacrificed for her political career.
It seems that the Congress party is reminiscing about Indira Gandhi today. During the 26/11 attacks, Indira Gandhi was uncharacteristically absent from the scene.
Several Congress leaders have made statements in support of Pakistan, seemingly forgetting the fact that Pakistan is our enemy.
Even the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka seemed to have forgotten that Pakistan is our adversary when making their statements.
As for Mani Shankar Aiyar, he seems to have a tendency to forget things easily.
There are many other incidents that we could delve into, but for now, let’s focus on the present. Pakistan had an opportunity, and they have squandered it. Perhaps this is why India was anticipating some mischief from Pakistan. Now, it is up to the Indian government to provide a suitable response.
