Agartala, Tripura: A review meeting was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the West Tripura District Magistrate’s Office, involving chairpersons of five Panchayat Samitis under the West Tripura Zilla Parishad, along with secretaries, BDOs, and other concerned officials. The meeting was chaired by Biswajit Shil, the in-charge Sabhadhipati of West Tripura.
The primary focus of the meeting was to review the utilisation of funds allocated by the state government for development works in Panchayat Samiti areas. Emphasis was laid on ensuring that the sanctioned funds are spent effectively and within the stipulated timeframe for the benefit of the general public. Officials were also instructed to prioritise timely execution of development projects to avoid delays.
It was informed that similar review meetings had already been conducted at various block levels earlier. Wednesday’s meeting aimed to consolidate feedback and accelerate the pace of implementation of ongoing and pending works.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, West Tripura in-charge Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil stated that the overall condition of all blocks in the district is satisfactory. He added that the objective of the review was to further improve efficiency, bring more momentum to development activities, and ensure speedy completion of unfinished projects.
He also directed all concerned officials to complete all pending development works before the month of March and reiterated the importance of coordinated efforts to deliver timely services to the people.
