RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered a powerful speech at the Nagpur headquarters on the occasion of Sangh’s 100th anniversary, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance. Addressing the audience at Reshimbagh grounds, Bhagwat highlighted the need for India to be self-sufficient in various aspects.
He pointed out that the recent changes in tariff policies adopted by countries like the United States have had ripple effects globally, underscoring the significance of India’s self-reliance. Bhagwat stated that while interdependence is crucial for progress, it should not become a compulsion. He stressed that political, economic, and diplomatic relations should be based on choice and willingness rather than necessity.
Bhagwat also expressed concern over the violent protests happening in neighboring countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. He warned that such disturbances could also affect India, with internal and external forces working to create unrest within the nation.
During the event, Bhagwat performed ‘Shastra Puja’ as part of the organization’s Vijayadashmi Utsav celebrations. He paid tribute to the founder of the RSS, KB Hedgewar, on the organization’s 100th anniversary. Former President Ram Nath Kovind, the chief guest at the function, was also present to commemorate the milestone.
Bhagwat noted the growing nationalist spirit and cultural pride among the youth in India, as well as the increasing participation of various religious and social institutions in serving the underprivileged sections of society. He emphasized that there is no substitute for Swadeshi and self-reliance in the nation’s progress.
The event at the Nagpur headquarters marked a significant moment for the RSS as it celebrated its centenary year since its establishment in 1925. The presence of prominent figures like Mohan Bhagwat and Ram Nath Kovind underscored the importance of the organization’s contributions to Indian society over the past century.
