The security breach at the MLA Hostel in Agartala, Tripura, has caused concern among officials and residents alike. Tipra Motha MLA Philip Kumar Reang raised alarm bells after being threatened by unidentified miscreants outside his room late on Monday night. Following his complaint, a team of senior police officials, led by DGP Anurag, visited the hostel to assess the situation.
DGP Anurag confirmed that the individuals involved in the incident had been identified as three youths who were guests of someone at the hostel. He assured the public that security personnel are on high alert and that investigations are ongoing to ensure the safety of residents.
“We take security breaches very seriously,” stated DGP Anurag. “Only registered guests are allowed entry into the hostel, and we are reviewing our security arrangements to prevent any future incidents. The safety and security of all residents are our top priority.”
