News Report:
A renewed push for the use of Indian-made products was seen on Monday at Battala Market, where local leaders visited shops to promote the “Swadeshi in every home, Swadeshi in every heart” initiative. Led by Baradowali Mandal president Shyamal Dey, along with the market committee’s president and secretary, the team went shop-to-shop appealing to traders and consumers to prioritise locally manufactured goods.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly urged citizens to strengthen the nation by adopting ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’—a vision that encourages the purchase of Swadeshi or India-made products, especially during festive seasons. The goal is to boost the domestic economy, support local industries and artisans, and honour the hard work of 140 crore Indians. He has also encouraged people to proudly use Indian products and share their experiences on social media.
The core objective of this campaign is to expand the use of Swadeshi goods, promote Atmanirbhar Bharat, and contribute to national economic resilience. Supporters believe such efforts will help create new employment opportunities and move the country closer to the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
