Another shameful chapter unfolded in civilized society on Monday evening! A teenage girl was allegedly abducted in a vehicle on her way to a grocery store and taken to a jungle where she was assaulted in the Tui Madhu area under the Teliamura Police Station in Chakmaghat!
Providing details of the incident, Officer-in-Charge Jayanta Kumar De of Teliamura Police Station stated that a young man named Hiron Mia from the Melapathar Gram of Teliamura Police Station area, along with his accomplice, another youth named Mia from the Tui Madhu Gram, forcibly took a 17-year-old girl on their vehicle while she was on her way to a grocery store in Tui Madhu Gram. They allegedly assaulted her in a nearby litchi orchard.
At the same time, Saroj Debbarma and several others went to the litchi orchard to look for their cattle, and heard the screams of the 17-year-old girl. Upon investigating, they found the girl coming out of the jungle in a distressed state. They immediately apprehended the two accused, Hiron and Mia, who were fleeing the scene. Later, Saroj Babu and the locals present there rescued the girl from the scene and took her to the Teliamura Police Station along with her family members.
The police registered a case of assault at the Teliamura Police Station, with case number TLM P.S 66/2025. Subsequently, the police took the accused into custody to investigate the incident. Despite the accused resisting arrest, Officer-in-Charge Jayanta Kumar De informed that the police are conducting a thorough search operation to apprehend them.
However, this barbaric incident has left a mark of shame in civilized society.
