Heavy rain caused a tree to collapse at the boundary of Umakant School’s hostel in the office line area in Agartala this morning around 6:30 am. The tree, nearly fifty feet tall, fell and damaged the boundary wall of the hostel. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The sudden collapse of the tree created panic among the students and staff of the school. Local authorities were immediately informed, and they arrived at the scene to assess the situation. The tree was removed from the area and necessary repairs to the boundary wall were initiated.
