Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has strongly condemned the use of indecent language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra. Saha demanded apologies from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav for the disrespectful act.
In a video that surfaced online, an unidentified person can be heard using a Hindi expletive against Modi from a dais raised during the yatra in Darbhanga town. This incident took place as Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra, and Tejashwi Yadav were on their way to Muzaffarpur on motorcycles. While the authenticity of the video could not be independently verified by PTI, Chief Minister Saha expressed his shock and appall at the behavior.
“Saha took to Facebook to express his dismay, stating that such depravity and vulgarity have no place in politics. He emphasized that the people of Bihar will never forgive this shameful act,” the post read.
The Tripura Chief Minister further added that the level of disrespect and hatred displayed in this incident is unacceptable in public discourse. He called on Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav to apologize for their role in the incident, stating that they must take responsibility for the shameful act.
