In a bid to strengthen the engineering workforce in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha distributed appointment letters to 184 Junior Engineers on Wednesday. The newly recruited engineers, who hold diplomas, are set to join the Tripura Engineering Service (TES) Grade-V(B) and play a vital role in the state’s development projects.
During a formal ceremony held at the Muktadhara auditorium, Dr. Saha congratulated the new recruits and emphasized the importance of engineers in the timely implementation of infrastructure projects. He highlighted the government’s commitment to job creation, stating that over 19,742 regular jobs, including die-in-harness appointments, have been provided in the past seven years.
The Chief Minister also mentioned ongoing recruitment drives in departments like the Public Works Department (PWD) to further strengthen the state’s engineering and infrastructure capabilities. The event was attended by Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ratan Lal Nath, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, senior officials, and family members of the newly appointed engineers.
This recruitment drive is part of the state government’s larger strategy to boost infrastructure development and provide meaningful employment opportunities to qualified youth in Tripura. With a focus on quality public services and job creation, the government is working towards a more prosperous and developed state.
