Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha recently inaugurated an administrative camp at the Gobind Community Hall in Belbari Block as part of the ongoing ‘Dharati Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan’. This initiative, held in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda, aims to promote inclusive governance and empower tribal communities.
The fortnight-long campaign, which took place from June 15 to 30, focuses on increasing grassroots participation, enhancing the delivery of public services, and promoting welfare schemes for tribal populations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance has been pivotal in the implementation of this initiative, aligning with his vision for uplifting India’s tribal population through targeted reforms and development programs.
During the event, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of the campaign as a tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s legacy. He highlighted the government’s commitment to decentralized governance and ensuring equitable development for all sections of society.
Various state and central welfare schemes were distributed to eligible beneficiaries during the camp, showcasing the government’s efforts in education, healthcare, employment, and social welfare. Additionally, ongoing development projects in tribal areas were reviewed to assess progress and address any challenges.
Key state leaders and officials, including Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Tinku Roy, and Minister for Tribal Welfare Bikash Debbarma, were present at the event, underscoring the government’s collective commitment to tribal empowerment and inclusive governance.
