On May 29, 2025, Maharaja Bir Bikram University (MBB University), Tripura’s first state university established in 2015, held its inaugural convocation ceremony at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, Agartala. The event marked a significant milestone in the state’s educational journey, celebrating the academic achievements of its first batch of graduates.
The ceremony commenced at 10:30 AM, with a total of 237 students receiving their degrees. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of higher education in shaping the future of the state
In his speech, CM Dr. Saha highlighted the university’s role in providing quality education and fostering innovation among students. He congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and encouraged them to contribute positively to society.
The convocation ceremony also saw the participation of university officials, faculty members, and dignitaries from various sectors. The event concluded with a cultural program showcasing the rich heritage of Tripura.
