The Tripura government is dedicated to the development of all parts of the state and the enhancement of citizen-friendly infrastructure, according to Chief Minister Manik Saha.
During the inauguration of several development projects, including the Baijalbari Police Station, the new building of the 50-seat ST Boys’ Hostel, and various projects at Baijalbari H.S. School Ground in Khowai District, CM Saha emphasized the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and improving the financial situation of rural residents.
“Tripura is a state of diverse cultures, and in recent years, peace has been established. The state is progressing smoothly, and with unity, we can achieve Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura. Without peace and harmony, progress is impossible,” said CM Saha.
He highlighted the government’s focus on education, health, agriculture, and communication development, as well as the emphasis on tribal overall development and self-reliance. The state has seen a significant increase in self-help groups and is utilizing resources like bamboo, agar, rubber, natural gas, and agriculture for socio-economic development.
CM Saha also mentioned the implementation of various flagship projects, including the Chief Minister’s Jana Arogya Yojana for healthcare services, to improve the quality of life, education, and employment opportunities for the people.
Regarding law and order, the chief minister noted a 19.4% decrease in the crime rate in 2023-24 and announced the appointment of 975 constables, including 332 women. Additionally, more than 6,000 special executive posts and 218 sub-inspector positions have been approved for appointment in the future.
Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Khowai District Sabhadhipati Aparna Singh Roy Dutta, MLA Ranjit Debbarma, DGP Anurag, Khowai District Magistrate Rajat Pant, Director of Panchayat Department Prasun Dey, District Superintendent of Police Ranaditya Das, and other public representatives and senior officials attended the event as distinguished guests.
