Tripura Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, inaugurated three new synthetic turf sports grounds at the Dasarath Dev Sports Complex in Badharghat, Agartala, at noon today. The newly inaugurated facilities, named after prominent figures, mark a significant boost to the state’s sporting infrastructure and are expected to nurture budding athletes in the region.
The inaugurated facilities include:
Devbhakti Jamatia Synthetic Athletic Turf: A modern athletic track designed to facilitate high-level training and competitions.
Swadeshpriya Nandi Synthetic Hockey Ground: A state-of-the-art hockey field equipped with synthetic turf, providing a professional playing surface.
Pratul Bhattacherjee Synthetic Turf Football Ground: A well-equipped football field featuring synthetic turf, aimed at promoting football development in Tripura.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Dasarath Dev Sports Complex, was attended of prominent sports personalities, government officials, and residents. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, in his address, emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting sports and providing world-class facilities to athletes in the state.
“These new sports facilities are a testament to our dedication to nurturing sporting talent in Tripura,” said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. “We believe that these grounds will provide a platform for our young athletes to excel and bring glory to the state.”
The development of these synthetic turf grounds is expected to significantly improve the training conditions for athletes in various disciplines, including athletics, hockey, and football.
