The Tripura Congress has taken a significant step towards protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals by announcing the establishment of a team of lawyers to provide legal support. This decision, announced by party president Asish Kumar Saha on August 5, comes after a resolution was passed during a national legal conclave organized by AICC’s Department of Law and Human Rights in New Delhi on August 2.
According to Saha, the AICC Department of Law and Human Rights has urged state units to form legal teams comprised of legal professionals to assist individuals in cases where their rights are being threatened. The primary objective of this initiative is to offer help to those facing rights violations.
In line with these instructions, the Tripura Congress will soon establish a team of legal professionals to support the people of the state. Saha, who recently met with Congress general secretary Saptagiri Ulaka in New Delhi, discussed the current political situation in Tripura and organizational matters. Ulaka has promised to visit the state after the current session of Parliament.
This move by the Tripura Congress demonstrates their commitment to upholding the rights of all individuals and ensuring that justice is served. By providing legal support to those in need, the party hopes to make a meaningful impact and protect the most vulnerable members of society.
