Agartala celebrated the remarkable achievement of the Tripura Women’s Football Team, who secured the runners-up position in the prestigious Assam Rifles Sentinels Football Championship 2025. The felicitation ceremony, held at the Assam Rifles Kunjaban Garrison on March 31, 2025, recognized the team’s outstanding performance and dedication.
Shri Tinku Roy, Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Tripura, graced the event, along with Brigadier Manish Rana, SM, DIG Assam Rifles. The tournament, which featured intense matches in Lokra, Assam, and culminated in a thrilling final in Laitkor, Shillong, saw the Tripura team demonstrate remarkable resilience, ultimately finishing second to the Assam Rifles Women’s Team.
