The launch of the Tripura School Quality Assessment & Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to elevate the standards of education. The ceremony, held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, showcased the government’s commitment to transforming the education system in line with the National Education Policy (NEP).
In his address, Dr. Saha stressed the importance of education in shaping the moral values and character of young individuals. He emphasized that education should not be limited to academic achievements but should also focus on nurturing responsible and morally sound citizens. The Chief Minister highlighted the progress already made in implementing the NEP and reiterated the government’s dedication to creating a competitive and conducive learning environment.
The TSQAAF, inspired by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for higher education institutions, aims to establish a structured assessment and accreditation system for schools. This framework will enable the evaluation and enhancement of education quality based on defined standards and parameters. Through the TSQAAF, the government hopes to turn every school into a center of excellence.
During the launch event, Dr. Saha recognized and honored key stakeholders and contributors who played a vital role in the development and implementation of the TSQAAF. This initiative signifies the state’s commitment to providing quality education and nurturing the next generation of responsible individuals.
