News Report:
A devastating road accident in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, claimed the lives of four medical students on Wednesday night, leaving families shattered across two states. Among the victims was Saptarshi Das, the only child of his parents and a resident of Ramnagar No. 1 Road, Agartala.
After six days of formal procedures, Saptarshi’s body arrived in Agartala on Monday in a coffin. A wave of grief swept through the locality as neighbours, relatives, and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects.
Senior leaders and officials visited the family home to offer condolences. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Tripura Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumdar were among those who paid tribute.
The tragic incident has raised renewed concerns about road safety, particularly for out-of-state students pursuing medical education.
