To mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, in collaboration with the West Tripura District Administration, organised a grand Unity March in Agartala today. The event aimed to promote national integration, harmony, and collective responsibility among the youth.
The march was formally flagged off from the Agartala Circuit House area by the Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, who emphasised the importance of unity and the legacy of Sardar Patel in shaping modern India.
The programme also witnessed the participation of Youth and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, West District Acting Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil, and several dignitaries from various organisations. Students from different schools and colleges, along with representatives of multiple institutions, joined the march with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
Officials noted that the Unity March serves as a reminder of Sardar Patel’s contribution to national integration and encourages the youth to uphold the values of solidarity and civic responsibility.
