In a significant move to combat drug trafficking, the East Agartala police station has successfully arrested eight drug peddlers in Agartala. This operation is part of a broader effort by Tripura’s law enforcement to curb the illegal drug trade, which has seen a surge in recent times.

The arrests were made following a series of raids conducted by the East Agartala police station, led by Officer-in-Charge Rana. The operation targeted areas known for drug trafficking activities, including those near schools and colleges.
The police have identified the arrested individuals and are currently investigating their roles in the drug trafficking network. The arrests include individuals like Robin Debnath, Ramzan Ali, Deepak Das, and Rubel Sarkar, who were caught selling drugs near educational institutions.
