The Tripura Rajya Garhastha Sadhu Guru Vaishnav Maha Mandali Committee recently organized a press conference at the Agartala Press Club to discuss several key organizational matters and upcoming religious events. The committee members addressed the media to share their vision for promoting Vaishnavism and social harmony across the state.
Key Highlights of the Press Conference
During the interaction with journalists, the leadership of the Maha Mandali focused on three primary areas:
- Annual Convention Plans: The committee announced the dates and venue for their upcoming state-level annual gathering, which is expected to draw thousands of devotees and spiritual seekers.
- Preserving Cultural Heritage: They emphasized the importance of maintaining the traditional “Garhastha” (householder) Vaishnav values in modern society and requested government support for the preservation of ancient Ashrams and Maths.
- Social Welfare Initiatives: Beyond spiritual discourse, the committee outlined plans for charitable activities, including blood donation camps and providing assistance to underprivileged students in rural Tripura.
Call for Unity
Addressing the reporters, the General Secretary of the Committee stated:
”Our goal is to spread the message of peace and universal brotherhood. We aim to reach every household in Tripura to strengthen the spiritual fabric of our community and involve the younger generation in our rich cultural traditions.”
Organizational Strengthening
The committee also utilized the platform to announce the formation of new district-level sub-committees. They urged all followers and Vaishnav centers across the eight districts to register with the Maha Mandali to ensure a synchronized approach to their upcoming religious festivals.
The press conference concluded with a formal invitation to the public and the media to participate in their upcoming Sankirtan and Dharma Sabha (religious assembly).
