The Tripura State Co-operative Consumers’ Federation Limited conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Sukanta Academy Auditorium in Agartala on Thursday. The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests and key officials from the co-operative sector.
The meeting was inaugurated by the Minister of Co-operation and Minority Affairs, Shukla Charan Noatia, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, the minister highlighted the crucial role of co-operatives in strengthening the consumer supply chain and ensuring fair market access for the people of Tripura.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta graced the occasion as a Special Guest, emphasising the importance of co-operative partnerships in urban service delivery.
Also present was Co-operation Secretary IAS Tapas Roy, who spoke about policy reforms and government support aimed at improving transparency and efficiency within the co-operative sector.
Federation Chairman Tuton Das addressed the gathering, outlining the achievements of the past year and the federation’s roadmap for expansion and modernisation.
Officials and members from various co-operative bodies also participated in the AGM, sharing insights and discussing strategies to improve consumer welfare across the state.
