Tripura is gearing up to transform its tourism landscape with the upcoming construction of a cutting-edge adventure, eco-tourism, and water park in Sachindranagar Colony, Jirania, West District. This ambitious project was the focal point of a recent virtual meeting on October 10 between Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and top officials from the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) at the Secretariat.
During the meeting, Minister Chowdhury emphasized the park’s potential to not only attract visitors from across the country and abroad but also to create job opportunities for locals. The park is set to take inspiration from Kolkata’s renowned Niko Park and will be funded through SIDBI’s Cluster Development Fund Scheme (SCDF).
With a strong emphasis on prompt execution, Chowdhury outlined strategies to ensure the timely completion of the project. He also discussed the possibility of further collaboration with SIDBI to bolster Tripura’s tourism sector and attract investments in other infrastructure projects.
Officials involved in the project view it as a pivotal step in positioning Tripura as a premier tourist destination on both the national and international stage. The park is expected to not only enhance the state’s tourism infrastructure but also contribute to the overall economic growth of the region.
