Agartala: The Charipara Shanti Pally area is draped in festive colors as the renowned Shanti Sangha Club officially commenced its Golden Jubilee (Subarna Jayanti) celebrations today. Marking 50 years of social, cultural, and athletic excellence, the club has curated a mega four-day festival that will continue until February 4, 2026.
To detail the extensive lineup of events, the club management hosted a press conference today at the club premises. Senior officials and members of the organizing committee addressed the media, reflecting on the club’s journey since its inception in 1976 and outlining the vision for the next decade.
A Four-Day Celebration of Heritage and Community
The Golden Jubilee celebrations are designed to involve every section of society, from children to senior citizens. According to the press briefing, the key highlights of the four-day program include:
- Day 1 (Feb 1): Grand Inauguration featuring the hoisting of the Golden Jubilee flag, a floral tribute to the founders, and the opening of a commemorative photo exhibition showcasing the history of Shanti Pally.
- Cultural Evenings: Every evening from 6:00 PM onwards, local and invited artists will perform traditional music, dance, and drama on the main stage.
- Day 2 & 3: Sports competitions, including a marathon, local football matches, and traditional games for women and children.
- Social Welfare Initiatives: As part of the milestone, the club is organizing a Blood Donation Camp and distributing winter garments to the underprivileged in the Charipara region.
- Day 4 (Feb 4): The grand finale, which will feature a spectacular cultural night and the honoring of veteran members who have served the club for five decades.
