Agartala, May 13, 2025 — In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare services, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced the recruitment of 432 nursing staff, comprising 332 permanent and 100 contractual positions. This initiative aims to bolster the state’s medical infrastructure and address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.
Speaking at the International Nurses Day celebration at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, Dr. Saha highlighted the indispensable role of nurses in patient care. He emphasized that nurses are often the first point of contact for patients, providing essential care and support. “Nurses are the trust of the dying,” he remarked, acknowledging their unwavering commitment.
The Chief Minister noted that 153 nurses had already been recruited in 2024, and the current drive is a continuation of the government’s efforts to strengthen the healthcare workforce.
