The Ward 8 Town Bardowali Mandal organised a ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi’ campaign on Thursday at the bustling Maharajganj Bazaar in Agartala, encouraging citizens and traders to promote and adopt indigenous products.
Sadar City District President Aseem Bhattacharjee, Mandal President Shyamal De, and several other members were present during the awareness drive. As part of the campaign, volunteers visited various shops in the market area and pasted campaign stickers, urging the public to strengthen the local economy by supporting Indian-made goods.
Leaders highlighted that the initiative aims to revive traditional craftsmanship, boost domestic industries, and foster economic self-reliance. Traders and shopkeepers at Maharajganj Bazaar welcomed the campaign, acknowledging the growing appeal of Swadeshi products among consumers.
The organisers stated that similar awareness activities will be carried out across other markets in the coming weeks.
