A young man was found in critical condition in Kailashahar after allegedly being assaulted in a robbery attempt on Saturday night. The victim, identified as Mohd. Bilal Ahmed, is currently undergoing treatment at the local district hospital.
According to reports, Bilal was attacked by a local businessman named Makdus Ali in front of a fire service office while trying to return money withdrawn from an ATM. Ali allegedly demanded money from Bilal and resorted to violence when he refused to comply, hitting him on the head with an iron rod before fleeing with the cash.
Locals rushed to help the injured man and admitted him to the hospital for treatment. Doctors have stated that Bilal sustained multiple head injuries and his condition is critical.
Bilal’s brother, Mukhtar Ahmed, has claimed that the incident was a planned attack. He has filed a complaint at the Kailashahar police station against the accused. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
