Tonight, the GRP police station in Agartala, along with the RPF, apprehended two female drug peddlers from Agartala railway station. A total of 21.065 kg of dry cannabis was seized from them, which was stored in two large handbags. The estimated market value of the confiscated drugs is over ₹3 lakh. They had planned to transport the contraband to other states via train using Agartala railway station.
A case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act at the Agartala GRP police station. Authorities suspect that more individuals may be arrested in connection with this case. The accused will be presented before the Hon’ble Court tomorrow.
