AGARTALA: Strengthening its grassroots organizational structure ahead of upcoming local body elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tripura State Unit is set to launch the “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026”. The announcement was made today by the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Shri Subrata Chakraborty, during a press conference held at the State Party Headquarters in Agartala.
The state-wide training campaign will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, marking a significant push to ideologically equip party workers across all 60 constituencies.
Empowering the ‘Karyakarta’: The Training Vision
The Prashikshan Mahabhiyan (Great Training Campaign) is a structured initiative named after the BJP’s ideological icon, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who propounded the philosophy of “Integral Humanism.”
Key Objectives of the 2026 Campaign:
- Ideological Orientation: Educating new and existing members on the core values of the party and the life of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
- Welfare Outreach: Training workers to effectively communicate the achievements of the “Double Engine” government and ensure that state and central schemes reach the “last person” (Antyodaya).
- Digital Integration: A special focus on using social media and digital tools for organizational transparency and grievance redressal.
Chief Spokesperson’s Briefing
Addressing the media, Subrata Chakraborty emphasized that the BJP is a “party with a difference” because of its continuous focus on the intellectual and ethical development of its workers.
”Under the leadership of CM Dr. Manik Saha and State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, we are starting this maha-abhiyan to ensure our karyakartas are well-equipped to serve the people. This is not just a political program but a mission to build a more dedicated and informed leadership at the booth level. The Chief Minister himself will lead the first session to inspire the ranks,” Subrata Chakraborty stated.
Phased Execution Across Tripura
The campaign will follow a tiered structure to ensure maximum reach:
- State Level: Inaugural workshop for senior leaders and district presidents.
- District Level: Training for Mandal presidents and executive members.
- Mandal/Booth Level: The final phase focusing on primary workers who directly interact with the public.
Political Significance
Analysts suggest that the 2026 edition of the training campaign is strategically timed. By reinforcing the “Pandit Deendayal” model of governance and service, the BJP aims to consolidate its base among rural and tribal populations. The emphasis on Antyodaya (serving the poorest) remains the central theme of the party’s narrative leading into the second half of the year.
