Santirbazar Municipal Council has launched a special initiative to address traffic congestion and improve cleanliness in the town, especially ahead of the monsoon season.
Santirbazar Municipal Council has undertaken a special initiative to address the ongoing issues of traffic congestion and ensure cleanliness in Santirbazar town, with a focus on preparing for the upcoming monsoon season.
To implement this initiative, Santirbazar Municipal Council Vice-Chairman Satyabrata Saha, along with the Council’s CEO and the Santirbazar Sub-Divisional Magistrate, conducted a special drive on Friday morning.
During this drive, authorities issued warnings to businesses obstructing roads with their merchandise, instructing them to remove these encroachments. They also cautioned vehicle owners against parking in unauthorized areas, particularly on the town’s main National Highway. Discussions were held on strategies for effective drainage of rainwater in the town to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon.
The sub-divisional administration has announced that legal action will be taken against any vehicle owners or businesses that violate the administrative regulations in the future.
The initiative, led by the Santirbazar Municipal Council, saw the participation of key officials, including Santirbazar Municipal Council CEO and Santirbazar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manoj Kumar Saha, Municipal Council Vice-Chairman Satyabrata Saha, Santirbazar APMC Chairman Dulal Debnath, Santirbazar BJP Mandal President Debashish Bhowmik, and other dignitaries.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate and the Municipal Council Vice-Chairman spoke to the media about the program’s objectives and planned actions.
