Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan commenced a pivotal four-day tour of Northeast India, arriving at Guwahati Airport to a warm welcome. His visit underscores the government’s commitment to accelerating rural development through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
In Assam, Chouhan highlighted the state’s achievement of constructing over 25 lakh houses under PMAY. However, 3.8 lakh units await sanctioning. A comprehensive survey is underway to identify and expedite allocations for eligible beneficiaries.
