The state of Tripura is set to embark on a series of development projects worth Rs 32 crore in the sectors of education, health, and local governance. Chief Minister Manik Saha will inaugurate 19 projects in South Tripura on Friday, marking a significant step towards improving infrastructure and services in the state.
One of the key areas of focus is education, with new school buildings and science laboratories set to be unveiled under the Vidyajyoti Scheme. Schools such as Kalashi High School, Baikhora English Medium High School, Manubankul High School, and Srinagar High School will receive upgrades to enhance learning environments in rural and semi-urban areas.
In terms of healthcare, a new 20-bed Primary Health Centre at Muhuripur and two Block Public Health Units at Maichara and Manubankul will be launched to provide basic medical services to underserved regions. Additionally, Tahasil Kachari offices will be inaugurated in various locations to improve revenue collection and administrative support at the grassroots level.
Scheduled Tribe students will also benefit from new hostel accommodations, including a 50-seater ST girls’ hostel at Kalashi High School, a 100-seater ST girls’ hostel at Sabroom Girls’ High School, and a new ST boys’ hostel at Chatakchari High School.
District Magistrate Muhammad Sajad highlighted the importance of these projects, stating that they cover key areas such as education, health, and revenue. He emphasized that these initiatives are in line with the broader development goals of the state and the country, including the “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” initiative.
Overall, these projects represent significant milestones in Tripura’s development journey and are aligned with the vision of a Viksit Tripura by 2047. The state government is committed to improving the lives of its citizens through targeted investments in vital sectors such as education, health, and local governance.
