Tomorrow, the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) along with various left-wing organizations have called for a one-day strike on the upcoming 9th of July. The strike is expected to affect various sectors including transportation, banking, and government offices.
The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has strongly opposed the One Day Strike during a press conference at the Agartala Krishna Nagar party office. Papiya Dutt, the general editor of BJP, criticized the opposition’s activity and praised the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for various projects implemented for the benefit of the citizens of India.
Dutt highlighted the government’s efforts in improving infrastructure, healthcare, and education, as well as initiatives such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Make in India. She urged the citizens to not support the strike and instead work towards the progress of the nation.
Meanwhile, CITU and other left-wing organizations have cited reasons for the strike including the government’s alleged anti-worker policies, rising unemployment rates, and lack of job security. They have called for workers across various sectors to join the strike and show their solidarity against the government’s policies.
The one-day strike is expected to have a significant impact on daily life in India, with disruptions in transportation, banking services, and government offices. Both sides are gearing up for a showdown on the 9th of July, with conflicting ideologies and agendas at play.
