Tripura Chief Minister, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, delivered a scathing criticism of the previous communist regime, accusing them of manipulating job opportunities in the state. In contrast, he emphasized his government’s commitment to transparency and fairness in governance and employment practices.
During the inauguration of the Kakraban Government Degree College and a girls’ hostel at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Gomati district, Dr. Saha hailed the event as a significant milestone for the people of Kakraban in the realm of education. He highlighted the chaotic conditions that existed in schools and colleges under the communist rule, attributing the instability to their ideological influences.
The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their efforts in restoring peace and stability in regions previously affected by extremist activities. He asserted that under their leadership, the government is committed to eradicating Maoist ideologies from society.
Dr. Saha took a swipe at the CPI(M) party, referencing a recent meeting held by their trade union wing in Agartala. He criticized their history of favoritism and exclusion in job allocation, contrasting it with his government’s transparent and merit-based approach to employment.
