Thirteen cases of dengue have been reported in Unakoti district, Tripura, sparking concerns among health officials. The outbreak has prompted the health department to intensify surveillance and preventive measures in the affected areas.
According to an official statement, a total of 70 blood samples were tested between November 5 and 10, with 13 samples testing positive for dengue. The cases have been identified in various villages, including Deorachhera, Satlang, Kalaigiri, Srirampur, Murtichhera, and Bhadrapalli.
In response to the outbreak, the district health department has dispatched a specialized medical team to assess the situation in the affected villages. The team is working to contain the spread of the disease and provide medical support to those affected.
To further address the situation, health camps have been set up in the affected regions to offer immediate medical assistance and educate residents on dengue prevention. Additionally, ASHA workers and Multi-Purpose Workers (MPWs) are conducting door-to-door campaigns to raise awareness about mosquito control, hygiene practices, and early detection of symptoms.
All confirmed cases are currently receiving medical care, and their conditions are reported to be stable and improving. Health officials are conducting continuous monitoring and follow-up visits to prevent further transmission of the disease.
Citizens have been urged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, eliminate stagnant water sources, and seek medical attention promptly if they experience symptoms of dengue. The health department is working diligently to control the outbreak and ensure the well-being of the community.
