During a programme in Takarjala under the West District, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha made bold statements about the UPA era being marred by corruption and scams. He asserted that the BJP is on track to form the next government in West Bengal in order to put an end to what he described as “jungle raaj.”
At the event, 135 voters from 42 families joined the BJP, a move that Dr. Saha applauded as the right decision at the right time. He expressed his belief that this would further strengthen the party, highlighting the BJP’s growing presence across India and its success in forming governments in many states.
Dr. Saha attributed the BJP’s success to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has spearheaded welfare initiatives for the nation, the Northeast, and Janajati communities. He specifically mentioned the establishment of the DoNER Ministry to accelerate development in the region.
The Chief Minister also praised the transformation in Bihar under the NDA government, noting the shift from “goonda raj and corruption” to a more stable and secure environment. He emphasized that the people do not want to tolerate lawlessness, corruption, or misrule.
Reflecting on the governance during the UPA era, Dr. Saha criticized the lack of strong leadership and the prevalence of scams that plagued the country. In contrast, he highlighted the Modi government’s focus on national security and its efforts to strengthen the nation.
Turning his attention to Tripura, Dr. Saha condemned certain groups for allegedly misleading and provoking the people, urging them to instead join the BJP. He claimed that under the CPIM rule, Tripura had experienced violence and fear, promising that the BJP would work towards the welfare of indigenous communities and bring peace to the state.
In conclusion, Dr. Saha expressed his confidence that the BJP would soon form the government in West Bengal, signaling a new era of governance that would prioritize peace and development over lawlessness and corruption.
