Agartala, November 25 —
Tensions escalated at MBB College today after members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) launched a protest alleging a campaign of false propaganda against the college unit president, Deeptanu Deb.
In a dramatic show of agitation, ABVP supporters locked the Principal’s office, halted all administrative work, and even switched off the electricity in parts of the college campus. Students gathered in large numbers, chanting slogans and demanding immediate action against those responsible for circulating what they describe as baseless and defamatory allegations.
ABVP representatives claim that a deliberate attempt is being made to malign their student leader’s reputation. They demanded a formal investigation by the college administration and strict action against those spreading misinformation.
As the situation intensified, administrative work came to a standstill. College authorities have yet to issue an official statement. Security personnel were seen monitoring the premises to prevent further disruption.
The incident has added to the growing tension among student groups on campus, raising concerns about the overall academic environment and governance inside the institution.
