Agartala, Tripura: A public meeting will be organised on Akhaura Road, near Peyari Babu Bagan, under the initiative of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist). The meeting aims to intensify movements for addressing urgent public issues, restoring democracy in the state, and establishing the rule of law.
According to party sources, the programme will focus on mobilising public opinion against what the party describes as growing challenges to democratic functioning and law enforcement in Tripura. Leaders will raise demands related to essential civic issues affecting daily life, along with broader concerns over governance and democratic rights.
The public meeting will be addressed by several senior leaders, with Jitendra Chaudhury, State Secretary of the CPI(M), attending as the chief speaker. Other party leaders and activists are also expected to participate and address the gathering.
Organisers have called upon people from different sections of society to attend the meeting and join the movement to safeguard democratic values and ensure justice and accountability in governance.
