Winter relief distribution programmes have been continuing across the city for the past several days under the personal initiative of the Chief Minister, along with coordinated efforts by the Agartala Municipal Corporation, various municipal wards, and other social organizations.On Saturday, a similar humanitarian programme was organized by the Red Cross Society at Ramnagar 3 No. Road. The event was attended by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, who emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in extending support to vulnerable sections of society during the winter season.Mayor Dipak Majumder, Bordowali Mandal President Shyamal Kumar Deb, and the President and Secretary of the State Branch of the Red Cross Society, along with other officials and social workers, were also present at the programme.During the event, winter clothing was distributed among underprivileged residents to help them cope with the cold weather. The initiative aimed to provide immediate relief while strengthening community participation in welfare activities. Organizers stated that similar programmes would continue in other areas to ensure wider coverage and assistance to those in need.
