Marking six years of dedicated social service, the Maharani Tulsibati Welfare Trust celebrated its 6th Anniversary with a grand program at the Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Town Hall (formerly Agartala Town Hall) today. The event highlighted the Trust’s significant contributions to healthcare, education, and the empowerment of the underprivileged in Tripura.
The celebration was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, who served as the Chief Guest. Other prominent dignitaries included Smt. Santana Chakma, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee, BJP State President, and Shri Bipin Debbarma, BJP State General Secretary.
Commemorating a Legacy of Welfare
The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a floral tribute to Maharani Tulsibati, the visionary queen of Tripura known for her pioneering work in women’s education.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha lauded the Trust for its consistent efforts in reaching out to the marginalized.
”Organizations like the Maharani Tulsibati Welfare Trust act as a bridge between the government and the people. Their commitment to social causes, especially their frequent blood donation camps and support for students, is a testament to the spirit of selfless service that our state stands for,” the Chief Minister remarked.
Empowerment Through Action
Minister Santana Chakma spoke about the intersection of social welfare and economic self-reliance. She noted that the Trust has been instrumental in providing vocational guidance to women, aligning with the state’s mission of “Atmanirbhar Tripura.”
Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee praised the Trust’s volunteers, stating that their grassroots presence helps identify the real needs of the community, ensuring that “Antyodaya” (serving the last person) is achieved.

The leaders reiterated that the government remains committed to supporting all non-profit entities that work toward the welfare of the “Janajati” and non-tribal communities alike.
