Tripura Lok Sabha MP and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb made headlines on Tuesday with his scathing attack on the CPIM, urging the party to leave Tripura and relocate to China for allegedly supporting Naxals and Illegal Bangladeshis. Deb, while distributing relief materials to flood-affected families in Agartala, criticized the CPIM for backing a banned outfit like Naxals and Illegal Bangladeshis, stating that such groups have no place in a democratic society.
Deb emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the aftermath of the floods, warning of the potential spread of viruses, bacteria, and diseases in the post-flood conditions. He highlighted the state government’s efforts to improve the drainage and sewerage system to mitigate the impact of heavy rainfall on low-lying areas like Agartala.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by those affected by the floods, Deb personally distributed food items to ensure that families have essential supplies for at least three days as they return to their homes. He also praised the efforts of organizations like the Ramakrishna Mission and other social groups, as well as public representatives, in providing relief and medical assistance to those in need.
As the flood situation gradually improves, Deb reassured the public that the administration is dedicated to serving the people and helping them rebuild their lives after the disaster. He commended the resilience of the community and highlighted the collective efforts to support those affected by the floods in Tripura.
