A gang of thieves strikes at an Anganwadi center
Incidents of theft and robbery are on the rise in the state. Local residents allege that behind these thefts and robberies, there are young people involved in various addictions. One such incident took place at the Anganwadi center in Kekanagar Muslim Para under the jurisdiction of Vishalgarh police station. On Monday night, a gang of thieves broke the lock of the door of the Anganwadi center in Kekanagar Muslim Para and stole two gas cylinders.
On Tuesday morning, the school helper, Peyara Begum, arrived at the Anganwadi center and found the door lock broken and lying on the ground. Upon entering, she discovered that two gas cylinders used for cooking by the students had been stolen. The school teacher, Bhavani Devi, was informed of the incident by the helper, following which a complaint was lodged at the Vishalgarh police station.
Local residents informed that the youth involved in various addictions in the area are likely to be responsible for such incidents. If the police interrogate them, they might be successful in recovering the stolen items.
